Reuters reports on the latest development in the mass litigation case against 3M over defective earplugs. The report states “two U.S. military veterans on Thursday sued 3M Co to block its planned spinoff of its healthcare business, which they called an illegal attempt to avoid compensating veterans for hearing damage caused by the company’s military-issue earplugs.” In a response, 3M spokesperson Tamara Sander said, “the suit is without merit and we will vigorously defend ourselves.”
